Eduardo Luis Alvarado (1996, Durango, Durango) estudió Cine Digital en la Universidad de Medios Audiovisuales (CAAV) en Guadalajara y guionismo en la Vancouver Film School. En 2018 formó parte del jurado joven del Festival de Nuevo Cine Mexicano de Durango. Estuvo pre-seleccionado en el Rally GIFF 2019 con su guion Feliz Final. Realizó en el cortometraje docu-ficción, Boonmee, en Samut Songkram (Tailandia) para el Thailand International Film Destination Festival. En 2020, su primer cortometraje, Jaguar, fue seleccionado en más de veinte festivales internacionales, tales como el FICM, FICMY, MADRIFF, entre otros. En 2022, dirigió el video musical, Retazos de Diciembre, para la banda chilena Patio Solar y exhibido en el Bogotá Music Video Festival. En 2023 dirigió Futuro Imperfecto, exhibido en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Ciudad Madero. Su cortometaje más reciente, Culpable, inicia su ruta de festivales en el Festival de Nuevo Cine Mexicano de Durango, en el 2025.

Como autor, ha publicado poesía y cuento en revistas físicas y digitales como Luvina, Punto en Línea, Círculo de Poesía, Santa Rabia Poetry, entre otras. Fue invitado a formar parte del Encuentro Nacional de Escritores Jovenes en la ciudad de Chihuahua en el 2023.

In 2018, he served on the youth jury at the Durango New Mexican Film Festival. He was shortlisted for the 2019 GIFF Rally with his screenplay Feliz Final. He directed the docu-fiction short film Boonmee in Samut Songkram (Thailand) for the Thailand International Film Destination Festival. In 2020, his first short film, Jaguar, was selected for more than twenty international festivals, including FICM, FICMY, and MADRIFF, among others. In 2022, he directed the music video Retazos de Diciembre for the Chilean band Patio Solar, which was screened at the Bogotá Music Video Festival. In 2023, he directed Futuro Imperfecto, which was screened at the Ciudad Madero International Film Festival. His most recent short film, Culpable, begins its festival run at the Durango New Mexican Cinema Festival in 2025.

As a writer, he has published poetry and short stories in print and digital magazines such as Luvina, Punto en Línea, Círculo de Poesía, and Santa Rabia Poetry, among others. He was invited to participate in the National Gathering of Young Writers in the city of Chihuahua in 2023.
